Why I
ride my bike: |
I rode a bike as a
kid, largely for fun, but also, because we lived a mile or so out of town,
just to get around. I got into
triathlon after college, desperately looking for something I could be good
at, figuring there could only be so many crazy people willing to try it and
hoping that persistence would help make up for mediocre talent. I found it quite fun and soon became
addicted, but initially the bike was definitely my weakest leg. I decided to work on that by focusing on
bicycling. I figured participating in
bicycle races was the best way to improve my riding. I also did a couple of bicycle tours in |
