2001 Mountain States Cup Series Championships Awards CeremonyKeystone, Colorado September 1-3, 2001 Rainbow Racing had an excellent showing at the 2001 Mountain States Cup Series Awards Ceremony for both the MSC NORBA Mountain States Region Series Championship and the MSC NORBA Colorado State Championship Series. There were a ton of Yellow Rainbow Jerseys on the podiums at Keystone for the Series Finale and Championships! The Mountain States Cup Series for 2001 was a total of 9 races which started in April with the season opener in Moab UT, then Pueblo, Nathrop, Durango, Angel Fire NM, Crested Butte, Telluride, Snowmass, and the season finale in Keystone CO. To complete the entire series was quite a commitment for these racers! Many of these Rainbow Racers fought tough battles all season long, and in many instances were racing against the same folks at almost every race! This made it tougher as the season progressed as everyone was pulling out all the stops to either defend their series standings or attack and try to move up in the standings. It was a very close season for many of our racers!

That wraps up another Mountain States Cup XC Racing Season. Everyone now has their eyes set on the fall cyclocross season, then planning on either moving up to the next level of competition or planning on how they can move up in the standings for the 2002 season already!
